Search results can be narrowed by using the Sort/Limit feature. You may limit by:
| MATERIAL type | Narrows a search by format,
such as books, serials,
maps, or music scores. For limiting a search to journals (serials, periodicals, etc.): instead of Limit by Material type, we recommend using the "Journals Only" search available from the main search menu. |
| YEAR | Limits to a specific publication year or range of years |
| LANGUAGE | Limits by language |
| WHERE Item is located | Limits to specific member institution(s) |
| TITLE, AUTHOR, or SUBJECT | Finds citations with specified word in selected field |
NOTE: The telnet (non-Web) version of the union catalog has more options for the limit feature. Consult a librarian for details.
